CatholicCare Refugee Hub Migration Service
The CatholicCare Refugee Hub offers a Migration Service to individuals from refugee, asylum seeker and vulnerable migrant backgrounds as part of their comprehensive suite of support services. This service is headed by a fully qualified and licenced Registered Migration Agent, who can provide professional advice and assistance with immigration matters such as:
- Visa options and immigration status
- Visa applications
- Visa refusals and cancellations
- Merit’s review of adverse immigration decisions
- Applications for work rights or for waivers of legal bars and limitations
- Submissions or applications for Ministerial Intervention
- Citizenship advice and applications.
The Refugee Hub’s Migration Service is run as a not-for-profit, ‘low bono’ fee for service. Our aim is to provide equitable access to professional migration advice and assistance to those in need.
People needing to access the service can expect confidential and comprehensive advice and assistance with a caring approach. We understand that immigration issues can be very stressful, and we are here to guide individuals and their families towards the best possible outcome.
The fee for an initial consultation followed by individualised advice is $120 ($60 for approved financial hardship applications). Fees for visa applications and other migration services will be discussed during the consultation. These fees vary according to the complexity of each case, what issues are involved, and the time required. All fees will be stated in the service agreement which will be signed when a decision is made by the people involved to proceed.
If you or someone you know require migration advice or assistance, and wish to make an appointment for an initial consultation, please email migration@catholiccare.org.au
